With eight 100W N type solar panels, a Rover Li 60A MPPT charge controller, wiring, fuses, mounting hardware and Bluetooth monitoring, this 800W solar kit drops straight onto an RV roof, barn, cabin or boat and starts covering everyday loads like a television, washing machine, electric cooktop, lights and devices. In good sun it can produce around 3.5 to 4 kWh per day, based on 5 hours of direct sunlight, which is a big step up from entry level systems.
800W RV and Cabin Solar Kit That Makes the Most of Your Roof
Eight 100W N type 16BB panels give you 800W of solar without swallowing all of the usable roof area. On a van, fifth wheel, travel trailer or shed roof they spread out easily, and on a small cabin or barn they leave room for vents and other hardware.
In typical conditions that 800W array can offset or fully cover some of the larger loads people actually want to run off grid, like a compact washing machine, TV, small electric stove or hot plate, in addition to lighting, fans and electronics. That turns an RV or outbuilding from “just enough to get by” into something that feels closer to normal power use.
The kit is designed for 12V and 24V battery systems, so it fits neatly into most existing DC setups. With the Rover Li 60A MPPT controller, a 24V system can expand up to 1600W of solar using the same class of panels, so there is room to grow if energy needs increase later.
Expandable 800W Off Grid Solar Kit with 60A MPPT
The Rover Li 60A MPPT charge controller sits at the center of the kit. It auto detects 12V or 24V system voltage, accepts up to 150 VDC from the array, and can handle up to 800W at 12V or 1600W at 24V, with higher limits at 36V and 48V for non lithium banks. That makes this 800W kit a solid starting point rather than a dead end system.
The controller includes multiple electronic protections for overvoltage, overcurrent, reverse polarity and short circuits. It is also compatible with the BT 1 Bluetooth module, which is included, so system status can be checked from a phone instead of crawling into a cabinet to read a screen.

Everything needed for a typical RV, cabin or shed install is included so there is no guessing at wire sizes or fuse ratings. The kit ships with:

The 800W kit uses N type cells with up to 25 percent cell efficiency, which helps keep output strong even when conditions are less than perfect and roof space is limited. N type cells generally handle heat and light soak better than older designs, which is helpful on parked RVs, boats and outbuildings that see hot, still days.
